Hauppauge

Hauppauge 1800 model 1196

  • PCLinuxOS Version: 2010.12
  • Desktop Environment: KDE 4.6.3
  • Kernel version: 2.6.38.2-pclos1.a64
  • Other Comments: shows up in in our OS as Hauppauge Inc. HDPVR-1250 model 1196
  • Known problems or issues: It just worked straight out of the box.

Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1250

  • PCLinuxOS Version: 2010.12
  • Desktop Environment: KDE 4.6.3
  • Other Comments: Well supported in Linux with kernel 2.6.37 and higher.
  • Known problems or issues: Hybrid TV Tuner /Video Recorder 1196 PCI-Express x1 Interface. Also supports NTSC analog.

Leadtek

Winfast 2000?

  • Desktop Environment: KDE
  • Other Comments: Identified as Brooktree Bt878 by system
  • Known problems or issues: Works fine - although I only use it to connect to a security cam (used as a webcam for wildlife watching at night) IR and the remote control not tested.

  • Other Comments: This card is made specifically for Linux, using Open Source multimedia player, Xine.

Happauge WinTV-HVR USB TV Tuner Device

  • PCLinuxOS Version: 2015
  • Desktop Enviorment: KDE64 and Trinity
  • Other Comments: This is a USB External Tuner
  • Known Problems or Issues: This Device will only work with Kernel 4.0 and above. It will not be reconized with any Kernel Below. I use Kaffeine as a Viewer and I also use the "w_Scan command" and can use the tuner thru VLC Player also. Ref Command without the quotes " w_scan -fa -A1 -c US -L > /home/<YOUR USER NAME>/scan_results.xspf" This will direct the results of the scan to your Home Folder

AVerTV Volar HD PRO USB

  • Desktop Environment : PCLinuxOS 2015, KDE and MATE
  • Other Comments: Configuration using Kaffeine. Works very well, scanning of Channels with Kaffeine
